Have you entered a restaurant especially during these difficult times and just felt happiness? I immediately felt this as we drove up to a Oak tree lined driveway to this restaurant.
I felt this way while approaching Roadhouse 2920. A little history on this place from the owner. They bought the property next door, deciding to increase their property bought the lot next door. Because of the overgrown state they did not know there was a beautiful home buried in all the nature that had grown around the structure. When she asked ” What are we going to do with house?” her husband replied, “open a restaurant!” And so Roadhouse 2920 was born.
On to the food, my personal favorite. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and the hubs ordered the trail burger. The sides for my chicken fried steak were smashed potatoes, green beans, and country gravy. Between all three was one plate of delicious! I might also add beautifully presented. My husband’s burger was just as great. He added to his burger bacon and avocado, and mayo. Nothing beats bacon right? It was aa great size for a burger, and did not skimp on the bacon nor the avocado either. The burger came with a side of curly fries that were perfectly seasoned. Overall a super duper lunch.
I cannot stress enough the beautiful grounds. The entry drive way has canopy of mature oak trees, just plain stunning. The house is charming as well as the staff. The owner is accessible and nice to have a conversation
In conclusion. if you have not to Roadhouse 2920 I would suggest you give it a visit . It is worth the drive.
