So, I know many readers might protest; but Starbucks was the driving force in Houston and the surrounding areas for coffee culture. I know because I worked as a manager/trainer for them for seven years.
When Starbucks hit Houston there was nothing like this chain. I was the manager of the store comics used as material because I ran the drive thru store, and across the street was the café only store. Even during a hurricane scare, I could not stop people from coming thru my drive thru until I blocked my driveway. That being said, Starbucks spurred a coffee culture that has grown and changed over the last 15 years. This is a summary of your selections in our area.

They have a very good breakfast selection and the coffee is nice as well. I tried their Eggs Benedict but was a little disappointed by the hollandaise
sauce. My table mates however were pleased with their selections.

I have visited this cafe many, many times and enjoyed my visits immensely. They have a very relaxing atmosphere and table service if you were planning to sit down. Hanan’s also has counter service if you need a to go order. There coffee is well brewed and fresh, but also can make you any espresso based beverage you may desire. Want a mimosa for weekend brunch? No problem and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. I am a huge eggs benedict fan which at Hanan’s is quite unique. The cafe uses prosciutto, pesto, fresh spring mix, poached egg, hollandaise sauce all atop an english muffin. It is a unique twist on a traditional dish and is quite tasty. The next time you want to go out on the weekend for breakfast/brunch I encourage you give this little gem a try.

This is one of the coziest cafe’s I have ever patronized. Between the fireplace and soft leather chairs you feel like home away from home. This coffee shop has a collaborative trade relationship with Rwanda. They source all of their 100 % Arabica beans exclusively from that country. All of their baked goods and quiche are 100% made on site from scratch. Land of a Thousand Hill’s espresso drinks are very high quality, and if you order and want to stay for a spell; you will receive a warm mug and possibly beautiful coffee art a top your foam. I highly suggest if you are a coffee lover give this establishment a visit.
