Based on reviews on other sites I had very high hopes for this new upcoming Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, my hubs and myself were greatly disappointed.
Let me start by saying I am a big proponent of small business. I love nothing more to find a hole in the wall with appropriate decor, service, and great food. Hailey’s failed at all three. The decor had no warmth. I love eclectic design, but not when I feel I am eating in a convenience store. The service was very slow, and when the food arrived was definitely not what our expectations had imagined.
My husband totally loves Chicken Parmesan. His other favorite in small portions (lactose Issues) is Fettuccine Alfredo. His entree came and was not all edible. tie breaded chicken baked until bone dry. the tomato sauce was tasteless with two pedestrian pieces of sliced mozzarella cheese. They were nice enough to sub the fettuccine for the spaghetti pomodoro. That being said, the substitution was quite unremarkable. The pasta was shy of being al dente, the sauce was runny and not flavorful. The hubs was not pleased, an I not impressed.
So, let’s talk about my entree. The Pasta Dylan. This entree was described as sauteed shrimp in a rich vermouth cream sauce. This is not what I received. I received a runny vermouth sauce served with overcooked rubber band like shrimp. I was so unhappy! I was hungry and disappointed by previous reviews!
It took way to long to receive our bill, and the front of house/waitress should have noticed our plates were overall not eaten. Needless to say we did not ask for to go boxes.
I hope this new restaurant can get their act together. it would be a shame to have a new restaurant in Cypress go down in flames
